📢 ATTENTION LOCAL BUSINESSES: THE WCASD CAREER COMPASS PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR HELP! 📢
The West Chester Area School District (WCASD) Career Compass program is designed for students who are exploring careers or planning to continue their education after graduation, and connecting them with real-world career experiences while they are still in high school. Students explore careers, develop professional skills, and gain experience through partnerships with local employers and organizations.
This year, the WCASD is expanding their Career Compass program. The program currently has students who are interning in areas such as law, occupational therapy, event planning, robotics, cyber security, finance, human resources, prosthetics, social media marketing, and dentistry. They are looking to expand their network, especially in the areas of engineering and neurology (e.g., memory care). Students are responsible for their own transportation, which is why the program partners with local businesses, but some students are willing to travel for a specialized industry.
